Project Open Console

Within OpenWebSearch.EU „Open Console“ aims to solve questions around implementing EU law in data collecting applications. Regulation about copyrights, licenses, and abuse management require a sense of consent between data collectors (search engines) and the data providers (website content manifacturers).

Together, participants in Open Console improve the availability and quality of produced knowledge about websites. Open Console can improve the trust of users that their data is processed carefully and according to their inputs.

Open Console is implemented by Markov Solutions – a freelance business run by Mark Overmeer and Thao Phuong Nguyen. Mark is the founder of Markov Solutions. He has a master in Computing Science. In the past 40 years, he has developed a number of complex Open Source libraries, mainly for the Perl programming language. He has also developed larger applications and a few websites. He is involved in other projects which intent to radically change the way we maintain data on internet, and active in a few “Open” organizations. Thao has a Master in Chemical engineering and a Bachelor in Engineering Management. She is the project developer of Open Console.
